On March 30, 2014, MTSA and GMTSA represented Kitchener-Waterloo as one of the 14 communities across Canada marching in the National March for Music Therapy! Thanks to everyone who participated, performed, or pledged. It was an awesome day!
A very special thanks to our sponsors.
We started the afternoon with awareness and a “musical red carpet/musical conversation” on the Laurier Campus.
We then took off for Waterloo Town Square.
At Waterloo Square we led sample interventions, had an information booth and complementary coffee table, and took part in an outreach providing community members with information about the field of music therapy.
We ended the day with a celebration at Wilfs Restaurant at Laurier with an Open Mic Night. Thank you to all who performed.
A very special thanks to a few special people who helped organize this event!
Danielle Robert, for being the contact and liaison for the Music Therapy Trust Fund.
Mikaela Leandertz, for heading up the advertising and planning the events for the evening.
Sophia Christopher, for arranging for the rental of Town Square and helping to organize all the paperwork.
Thank you to Amanda Williams for being the photographer for the day!
